Thank you very much for your awesome work in providing us with all the information on the Boeing 787. It is greatly appreciated.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to you too Uresh - you have a great site!

As to the "ready for delivery" planes, note they ALL are GE engines. So I presume the customers are not taking delivery until GE can prove the icing problem has been solved AND thoroughly tested.

As this is costing Boeing quite a bit of cash flow and additional embarrassment, I would imagine Boeing has a claim against GE.
Does anyone know?

I noticed that position 1 in Charleston has been open for a while with the next frame in line is still showing as "parts arriving." Does anyone know if there is a supply issue there? (Or maybe allocating people to clear completed aircraft)

Uresh said...

No there was an issue with the mid body fuselage section. It should load sometime next week.

Please folks, not "Tarmac." That is a gravel like material that was on old airports and country roads. The parking space is called a RAMP! RSM

This is a superb blog. You should release a book soon.

If Boeing has increased the production rate to 10/month then in Everett the rate should be 8/month but they are putting a new frame in assembly line in 1 frame per 6 days that means 5/month in everett....Why???
