Flightblogger: 787 Structural Issue Explained in Greater Detail

Flightblogger has put up a post in which he explained in greater detail the issue that's facing the 787 side-of-body joint as well as putting this issue in its proper context. It's interesting to note that the rumors of delamination are just that...rumors and no delamination occurred. Flightblogger also says that the fix would take months not weeks.

Finally he notes that the Airbus A380 wing failed one of it's certification tests and was required to have a reinforcement fixed also installed but this was after the plane had started it test flight and certification program.
